There are simiilar organizations throughout the world which also provide excellent information on what veterinarians in their areas do (veterinary medicine differs slightly from country to country, based on needs and the species of domesticated animals). You could also try scheduling time with a local veterinarian for an informational interview - most veterinarians love talking about what they do.
