Languages is one of the most important. The more languages you speak fluently the better job oportunities you'll have in this line of work. An example, a friend of mine wanted to work as an air hostess but she only spoke portuguese and her English was limited but since she was very outgoing, tall and, well, looked like she had stepped out of a beauty paegent, they gave her a job on only one route which means less pay, less status and less motivation. If she'd taken my advice and had taken language courses such as Japanese, french, German, Arab, spanish and Italian she'd be travelling the world, getting a huge paycheck and be fulfilled jobwise. She enjoys what she does nevertheless but she always wonders what she might have accomplished if she had tried harder. Summary:
- Be tall
- Be fluent in several languages
- Be outgoing, a people person, caring and a chatterbox
- Be well-groomed
- Have the luck of being gifted with good genes that give you the look of a model
- Open-minded (you will be in contact with different cultures which you don't have to like but will have to respect)
If you have four of these qualities, you got the job. If you have all of the above you got it made.
To get a good idea of what it's like, watch the comedy movie "View from the Top" with Gwyneth Paltrow, directed by Bruno Barreto. It depicts pretty much what you have to go through and what it takes to be the best. I'm just recommending this film because it's very realistic, except for some funny characters.
I believe we should be choosing our subjects

The subjects that you need for mechanics are English Science Maths and preferably Technology (you will need to get a grade C or above in all of these subjects to get the qualifications needed to become a machanic)

To become a social worker, Grade 12 subjects such as English, Psychology, Sociology, and Biology may be beneficial. These subjects provide a strong foundation in communication, understanding human behavior, social systems, and biological aspects that are relevant to the field of social work. Additionally, courses in ethics, social justice, and diversity can also be helpful for aspiring social workers.

It's important as you should try to choose subjects that are relevant to the career you want to do later in life. Similarly, universities or colleges may require that you have taken certain subjects in order to be accepted to do your chosen course. For example, if you wanted to be a doctor then you would ideally choose science related subjects in school.
If you have already chosen your high-school classes, it does not necessarily mean that you have passed the 8th grade, because you can choose your subjects even before the release of your results.
