In general, no - a vet clinic has many hazards including the animals that are being boarded and treated at the clinic. The minimum age is generally 16 to clean cages as a kennel assistant; 18 is the minimum to work as a veterinary assistant.

Yes! Just go in and ask what age they hire, and ask for an application. Usually, they won't need to hrie anyone unless they specifically need someone, but my local vet clinic hires at 16, and I live in Michigan!

A veterinary clinic is a hazardous work environment due to the exposure to biological fluids (blood, urine, feces, etc.) and the risk of bites, scratches, exposure to x-ray radiation, etc. Federal labor laws prohibit children working in these environments - you will need to be at least 16 to work at the clinic in most areas and 18 to work in all areas.

That is going to depend on where you live. In Australia someone has to be 14 and 6 months before they can get employment (other than a paper route). Hope that helps.
