Not everyone you see wants you to be there (suicides, fights, RTC's), or they want you to do more than you can (bring the very dead back to life) so you are also at risk of abuse or assault. You see the worst of human nature and the way that some people live. You may have to deal with death of the very young, child abuse or rapes.
You see the same things over and over that could be prevented if people looked after themselves (or their children) Long hours, sometimes without any breaks. Going from low stress to very high stress situations instantly. Seeing things that your family can't understand, or don't want to talk about.
Although, having said that... from experience... if its your calling, its the best job in the world. You get to make a difference to peoples lives, and help them when they are most vulnerable.
