Well if you love horses it should be obvious what the advantages are. You get to ride a lot, learn new things, new horses. Also people grow to respect you as a trainer and may seek your advice.
However disadvantages...
It's hard being a trainer. If you are not well known it can be hard to find horses. and unless you are very good and training in a disipline then the money is poor. I have my own facility and charge $15/ride. One horse in a month only makes $445/ month with a $100 boarding fee. Also it means long tiring hours. To make money you have to be riding 5-10 horses a day plus chores. If you're horse gets sick or injured you lose training money and feed money. If you get injured then you lose all your income if you can't ride safely.
Or you work a main job and train horses on the side meaning late nights. Either way it is a gamble.
However its worth it when the owner phones you a couple weeks later to tell you they love the job you did :)
