No, they are quite different. School of pharmacy is a private school that specializes in pharmacy. Usually this is the requirement in order to get your PharmD to become a pharmacist. It use to be before 2004 you had to get a BA/BS in pharmacology before being admitted into the program, but requirements have changed. Now, you just need to meet certain requirement listed by the pharmacy school of choice for admittance. Some people choose to get their BA and then enter the PharmD program. It is possible to be admitted without a degree, however competitors with a BA in biology/chemistry or other related fields will be admitted first.
