The ability to accurately measure distances, add and subtract numbers and fractions in your head. Being able to work with angles and circles (circumferences and whatnot) is critical. Also being able to record these numbers in way you can understand, it really helps!
Basically fractions are the most important. you need to be able to read a tape. Trigonometry is important if you intend to excel in the trade. Most carpenters just use a string to get from point A to point B. If you know Trigonometry you can do it in half the time with half the effort and become a very valued carpenter.
