A prone pilot is a pilot laying on his belly. In this position he can counter higher g-forces in turns or pull-ups as with the conventional seated position. Reason: the vertical height between heart and brain is less, so the heart has less problems to feed the brain when g-forces are increased.

Many think this is a very bad position for the pilot when you think about comfort. Wrong guess. I tested a few prone positions at home and can say that if properly supported you can be in that position for hours.
