What types of jobs could an artist have?
there are multiple answers to this question. In this day and
age, I think, the best answer would be a graphic designer, of some
kind. Popular/media art, the kind of art that you get paid to make,
is done mostly by computer hence graphic designer. There are sub
categories of graphic design such as an illustrator. This type of
art involves a good sense of layout and color interaction. You also
have to know how to convey emotion through image. Illustrators can
make art for children books or they might make a characateur of a
famous person for a magazine. They might make posters, or design a
CD cover. You can use mix media/multiple mediums as a graphic
desigener. There is also logo design, you should have a good grasp
on negative and positive space. Logos need to be eye catching. Or a
textilelist, they may make patterns for cloth and maybe text. There
is a name for people who only make new text, I don't know what. If
none of this interest you you could always become a teacher, teach
art. But basically your not going to make money easily any which
way but the easiest way is to make art for the media or
advertisements.
