It is to give you the skills to teach other people. A Train the Trainer module is a prepared learning experience to provide the information to be taught and to give a prospective trainer the experience of teaching the material before "going live." Many companies are very specific on how they want their employees trained-- for example, the information, time allotted for class and evaluation scores--and so preparing the trainer makes sense.
