No, TechSkills Dallas is not a scam. Same thing with TechSkills in Fort Worth. I found out that the company is family operated and funded through government grants and commercial loans students get for "qualifying" for funding. I did a little more digging an found out they are funded with money from private venture funds; really risking investments that pay off.
The Dallas TechSkills was mostly a hyper place. The director is a guy who puts serious pressure on the students to do well in their training. They sell you something that is substantial, you get a book , a syllabus and to use their computers on-site to attach to their network and use their software. I guarantee that you will get a computer that's available when you go to the center. They call their instructors "Mentors" because they give you whatever advice they can, they usually are trained to teach the subjects they try to support.
It's not a scam and i recommend them, though I did not do well because I dis not put any effort in.
