A Virtual Assistant is someone who helps a person or company from a remote location, using their current skill set. That being said, any job that doesn't require you to be physically present in a brick and mortar office, can be done virtually. If you have skills and experience as a graphic designer, HR professional, bookkeeper, receptionist, accountant (the list goes on an on) and can perform the job from a remote location you can become a virtual assistant or VA. Our team has VA's who specialize in all of the aforementioned. The benefits are many, however self-discipline, hard work and an established skill set are key to hit the ground running as a virtual assistant.

To become a virtual assistant, start by making sure you have a fully equipped and completely quiet home office. One that is conducive to carrying out your daily assignments in a successful manner. Check out your employer and see what their current clients or VA's who have worked with them are saying. "Testimonials" and "References" are key to selecting a site you will partner with as a virtual assistant. Do a bit of research to find out what other Virtual Assistants in your field are charging and then make a decision regarding the rate you will charge your clients. Once you've filled out an application or profile, you can start working right away. If you don't currently have a marketable skill set to become a Virtual Assistant, There are sites for reliable information on classes and/or seminars you can attend to help you become a successful VA.
