In California, to obtain syringes from a pharmacist, you can simply ask for "syringes" or specify the type you need, such as insulin syringes or general-purpose syringes. You don't need a prescription for syringes if you're using them for personal health needs. If you have a specific medical condition, you can mention that to ensure you're getting the right type. Pharmacies often have a policy regarding the sale of syringes, so be prepared for any questions they might ask.

As in syringes to inject insulin? Yes. Some pharmacists will sell them to you without a prescription even for insulin. I've even worked with a couple of pharmicists that will actually sell you syringes even if you go in there & tell them you are an addict & need clean needles. (The ones that would rather just sell ya some needles than see ya sharing & possibly dying of AIDS!) But, it's up to the pharmacist, & if they refuse, that's it.... No getting them. Not even if you really need them for insulin.
