I personally opine that it isn't that hard to change the course of your future with a little effort and planning. I would like to see myself in a position where my decisions would be implemented for achieving maximum perfection in the tasks.

About 12 years. Five years in medical school after qualifying from college, then another 7 years to get training and post graduation Fellowship to qualify as an oral and maxillo facial surgeon.
