Work permits are normally acquired at the school or school board. I'd start with the high school office, they can direct you to the person in charge of issuing the permit. It's worth noting that the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Colorado Youth Law Guide, http://www.coworkforce.com/LAB/YouthLawFactSheet.pdf, specifically states that work permits are NOT required by Colorado law. It shows that the schools issue Age Certificates for employers that desire proof of age or School Release Permits for 14 or 15 year olds working during school hours.
