In my opinion women have more rights in Texas, than men. I don't know about the rest of the country. They are first pick for any job that doesn't involve physical manual labor. They hold office as city and state officials. They are doctors, lawyers, judges and police officers (some of the meanest lol). They get automatic custody of children when there is no mandatory investigation of either parent. They can have men arrested for assault with no physical evidence. Government aid caters to women. So, no, there is not societal equality today. At one point it was a Man's world, then for so long activists fought for equal rights for women, and over shot the mark. If we were to live in an equal world, and to be considered equal by state, and peer, there would be no space for ethnicity and gender on government forms or applications... And when "race" was questioned for any reason, the answer would be "human". If that world ever exists, it will be long after you and I are dead, though.
