Ever seen a wild Norwegian rat? They go after forgotten food, dropped candy, and even clothes that have a food smell. Just like what's in your closet that you hope your mom doesn't see. They can get as big as a kitten and have been known to attack small children. They live in cities, suburbs, and rural areas and will come into the house after food or warmth.

Like cockroaches? Leave your room dirty and you'll soon have a whole collection of tough, crawly roomies. The big black ones aren't very fast, but they will scare the gee whilikers out of you when they crawl on your bed at night.

Ever heard of the brown recluse spider? Its bite is poisonous to humans, and causes muscle erosion. That's right, holes in your muscles because of the bite....if it doesn't kill you first. They hide in clothes that aren't disturbed...like the ones on your floor.

These are some of the very real pests and dangers which your parents know about. They spend large amounts of money to get rid of them and keep you safe. But the money is all lost because you invite them into the house by keeping your room in a mess.

Ready to clean your room now?

Your room should be cleaned from time to time because for one if items sit in one place for a while they get dusty and that is not good for air quality. Also, if you have clutter all over the floors it is a fire hazard (especially if the clutter is covering a heating vent). Also, if you are not careful, the clutter will take over and you will become a hoarder. It is important to at least clean your room once a month and clear out as much trash and items you no longer need as possible. It is also good to clean your room when someone comes over so they do not have difficulty moving around the room. I don't like it either, but it should be done.
