It depends on the state you live in, how long you were married and if she had the retirement before you got married.

Generally speaking, what you bring into a marriage, you take out. If your wife had a retirement plan before you married, the value of that plan at the time you were married belongs to her. During the course of the marriage, contributions to the plan and growth in the value of the plan might be subject to distribution, depending on the laws of your state. You may have a right to a percentage of the increase in value of her retirement account (only) during the time you were married. You are probably not entitled to a share in the total value of the account. And you shouldn't be.

Is the sole beneficiary of a will entitled to the deceased persons retirement?

It depends on the terms outlined in the deceased person's will and retirement account. If the sole beneficiary is named as the beneficiary in the retirement account documentation, then they may be entitled to receive the funds. However, if there are specific instructions in the will regarding the distribution of the retirement account, those would generally take precedence.

How does your wife get half of your social security?

At her full retirement age your wife is entitled to an amount equal to half of what you are entitled to receive at your full retirement age. (If you're not the same age that full retirement age may not be the same age in years for both of you as it rises from 65 to 68 in the years to come) Benefits your wife receives neither increase nor decrease your retirement benefit from social security. What she gets doesn't change what you get. Your benefit is increased by the delayed retirement credit of 8%/year for each year you delay taking benefits after your full retirement age until age 70, but your wife's available retirement benefit does not change. (Neither of you should delay starting Medicare since that usually incurs a penalty.)
