In terms of official law and statute all accused are afforded the right to fair trial and legal counsel. In actuality statistical data indicates that death row inmates are predominately African-American or Hispanic coming from low economic backgrounds. There is also tremendous body of research illustrating disparities in sentencing when comparing the affluent to indigent accused.
Both genders do in fact receive capital punishment equally. This is of course only the case if they are of legal age.
