Yes there are and the rules for operating each class vary by state
yes. you need a license for any type of motorcycle.
No. Get your license. Once you have your motorcycle license you can ride your motorcycle in any state in the union with a license from any other state. Do not try to do it on a learner's permit.
If you operate any two wheel motorcycle with an engine size greater than 50 cc, a motorcycle endorsement on your driver license or a motorcycle-only license is required.
You don't have to be any age to own a motorcycle. To ride a motorcycle you need a motorcycle drivers license and this can be obtained at 17.
A motorcycle license is required for a 250cc scooter in Arkansas. Any two-wheel vehicle that is over 125cc and ridden on the street requires the operator to have a motorcycle endorsement.
In all states, the person operating the motorcycle must have a motorcycle license, which is separate from a regular driver's license. Some states also require all passengers to wear a motorcycle helmet at all times while riding.
Do you have any money?
Any cc as long as your license is still valid.
Do you need any papers besides a regular driver's license to drive from U.S. to Alaska on a motorcycle?
Probably. To NOT have to have a motorcycle license, the bike must be 3.5 or less horsepower, have a max speed of 30 mph or less, and be fully automatic. If it does not meet any one of these stipulations, you must have a motorcycle license. Most new scooters with only 49cc engines do require a license because they exceed these specifications.
I do not know PA laws but here in FL if your license is suspended then it holds true for any vehicle, and not having a valid motorcycle license is going to add to the charges.
I believe that any 2 or 3-wheeled vehicle over 50cc is classified as a motorcycle.
