Yes to people of that much age separation can like each other but to recommend them having a relation no. I say give it some time so you can think about it and maybe until your just a well not little but a few years before you start dating someone with that much of an age difference. Nothing wrong with liking but anything more is too young for the 11 year old. Do group things if you like them and this will allow you to have fun but not to get into any of the heavy stuff.
