Yes. It is called statuory rape. Even if the parents do not press charges, the hospital may call Children's Services or Protective Service when the baby is born to report it. Knowing the state where you live would help in letting know the penalty you may be facing. ----------------------------- Actually the answer is no! A 17 year old is not considered to be an adult in every single state. You both are minors and it will be treated as such.

California's age of consent is 18 and, unlike most other states, even if the older person is within three (3) years of the younger person ("close-in-age" rule), the older person may still be charged with a misdemeanor. Over three (3) years of difference may result in either misdemeanor or felony charges. If the older person is 21 or over and the younger person is under 16, the penalties may be even harsher.
