Even if the dismissed charge is removed, your record will still show that you were arrested for whatever the charge was. I recently looked into that myself because I have a dismissed charge on my record and the woman at my local probation office told me arrests stay on your record. Im not sure if that varies state to state but in my state the arrest record is permanent.
