Probably yes. It depends on the date of the judgment which would be some time after the date of the debt. Each state has its own statute of limitations on judgment liens but they generally last for several years.

The date of first delinquency should be the date that starts the clock for the 7 years. Meaning if you went 30 days late in April 2005, on a credit card, and then 60, 90 then 120, then the account would go to charge off status but the date of first delinquency would be April 2005. In CA, 4 years from the date of first delinquency is within the statute of limitations is in effect that a creditor or collection agency can sue you for the amount owed. This will vary from state to state, If the collection agency sells the collection to another collection company, the start date is the date of first delinquency, April 2005. If the collection agency changes the date, that is called re-aging and is illegal unless you set up new terms with collection agency
The date that is of the most importance is the DLA, which is used if it pertains to the state SOL. The opening account date can be disputed and possibly amended, but it will not affect the validity of the debt or prohibit the collection process.

Yes they can. 2005 ruling by the Supreme Court allows 15% to be taken. My question is can they take money if you're below the poverty line? Probably so, but I'd like to see a ruling.
THERE IS A STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS ON BAD DEBT ACCOUNTS. IF YOU MAKE ANY PAYMENT ON THE ACCOUNT THE THE TIME PERIOD STARTS FROM THE THE DATE OF THE LAST PAYMENT. BE CAREFULL COLLECTION AGENTS WILL ASK FOR A SMALL TOKEN PAYMENT SO THAT YOUR TIME FOR THEM TO COLLECT WILL BE EXTENDED. IF YOU DONOT INTEND TO PAY THE BILL NEVER MAKE A PARTIAL PAYMENT. EG. SAY THE LOAN WAS TAKEN OUT 12/1/2003 THEY CANNOT COLLECT AFTER 12/1/2008.IF YOU MADE A PAYMENT 12/1/2005 T5HEN THEY CAN COLLECT UP TILL 12/1/2010. GOOD LUCK,RODHOOK

No it is called re-aging which is federal violation, collection agencies do this to refresh the SOL so they have legal recourse to sue you for the debt.
