I wouldn't worry so much as to whether or not the test can distinguish the two. Rather, I would concern myself with the fact that drug use may be considered a violation of parole and that I better have medical documentation for anything that may show up on the test. Just to add to what was said and to give you a answer since the answer given above was really not a answer but advise. To answer your question, Normally the test is a broad analisys of drugs. They will normally test for Opiates in general and then if you have a positive reading for Opiates in general they will go back and conduct a specialized test to see what type of Opiate it is. So yes they can determine exactly what type of Opiate you took. Hydro or Oxy or any other and they can also determine the amount that you took. But the first test is normally just a broad screen for Opiates in general.
Yes. Opiates show up in drug tests.
YESAdded: They had better carefully check the conditions of their release and be sure they don't have any travel restrictions. And: They had better get prior written permission from their parole officer.
Off Parole was created on 1996-03-19.
Parole curfews last for the length of the parole or until it is lifted by the Parole Officer.
The term of their parole is given to the parolee at the time they are released on parole. If they satisfactorily complete their parole they will be notified of that fact by their Parole Officer or the court.
It depends on the specific terms of the parole of each person.
I would also love to hear the answer to this. I tested negative for opiates and the parole officer said I came out positive for oxy, doesn't make sense to me, I thought it was an opiate
Yes, they may petition for parole unless the sentence specifically states"without parole."
O.J. Simpson was recently denied parole. You act as though you are on parole. Don't you wish you could be on parole, too?
Probation is handed down by the judge at trial. It may be in lieu of jail time or in combination with some jail time. The judge will specify restrictions on the offender's activities during the probationary period. Parole is granted by a parole board, after the offender has served some -- or perhaps a lot of -- time. The parole board may consider factors such as the offender's behavior in prison and level of rehabilitation, and let him or her out early. The parole board can also specify restrictions on the person's activities while on parole.
