A job should not legally interfere with someone going to college. However, it can.
Going to college is not a "MUST DO" thing. When you're still in high school, it's perceived that you HAVE to be in school. If a police saw a high school kid wandering around the mall during school hours, the police HAVE to approach that kid and ask questions. This isn't the same situation for college students. Yes, college students have a more flexible schedule than high schoolers, but honestly, a police will not go up to a college student to ask "shouldn't you be in school?" College students are 18 + years of age, and may want to do whatever pleases them. However, a job may interfere with college.
I really do think that there should be a law preventing jobs interfering with college, however, i can't really defend this. Alot of arguments would most likely reside to the fact that the college student "does not have to" work at that job that interferes with his/her school schedule. There are alot of jobs out there that they can find that is lenient within their school schedule. Still, school is school, and everyone knows that one that has an education is far better off than one who lacks education.

The availability of entry level jobs for someone with no college education depends on the economy. There are always some entry level jobs available, but if the economy is poor, then more college graduates will be going after jobs that they ordinarily would not.
