There are exceptionally few legitimate reasons for any adult to be be doing this- and I won't state them to equip predators, the rare legal ones know their reasons.
The adult posing as a 14 year old will be driven by some form of pathology. The most common will be some level of sexually inappropriate motive which isn't ever in any young persons interest
No matter how seemingly low key a contact attempt may look like on the surface, there is so much known about these predators that no body is fooled.
