stolen drivers license
You go to the DMV and get a new one. They have your photo ID on their computer and they can verify your identity with that and your thumbprint.
Type: ORG identifies your drivers license as the original. Type: COR means your drivers license has been corrected e.g. new address. Type: DUP is issued when you report your license as lost or stolen. If you eventually find the original, do not use it! If a Police Officer checks, the DMV database will flag it as invalid.

Yes, they can.
It is very likely that your identity can be stolen from a personal check. You should take extra measures to ensure you are protecting your personal information.
Do what they did to you. Get revenge. But try not to show.
If your story is true, you have unfortunately been caught up in a criminal investigation. During the investigation of the offense the detective(s) should be able to either confirm (or disprove) your alibi, and you will no longer be a person of interest. Hopefully (for you), at the time your license was stolen you reported the theft of your license, and/or applied to the DMV for a replacement. This would tend to bolster, and lend credence to, your story.
I would imagine so. In order to get a new one, you have to turn in the old one or report it lost or stolen. The license is the property of the state.Technically, you can have more than one driver's license. If you apply for an International Driver's License, it works in the USA and other countries. You do not need to turn in your state license when you get the International Driver's License.Added: (in the US) If you are a US citizen You may possess only one state-issued drivers license, and it must be issued by the state in which you have your legal residence. In reference to the first answer: In the US, the 'international drivers license' referred toabove, does NOT take the place of a valid US drivers license, it is valid only when presented in foreigncountries.
