NO. A divorce is the legal dissolution of a marriage. Once the divorce decree becomes final the parties have no personal legal claims on each other as to their marriage except those made a part of the decree. (Child support issues and modifications of the decree can be ongoing.)
If the parties filed for a legal separation prior to the divorce it would be nullified once the divorce decree was entered. After the parties have divorced it would be impossible to obtain a legal separation since your legal relationship has been dissolved.
If you are legally separated you are still legally married.
You are the "spouse" until you are no longer legally married.
While the divorce is pending, the spouse is still the spouse, and the legal status does not change. On the day that the divorce is granted, the spouse is no longer the spouse, and reverts to non-related.
If you are still legally married, you can be held responsible. That would be the benefit of getting a divorce.
If the separated spouse is still legally married to the debtor spouse and/or co-signed the original obligation while married, yes.
Legally, "widowed". If you have not divorced, he is still legally your husband.
your not legally divorced, but you can still be considered not together anymore.
If you are not legally separated or divorced, your wife will still be entitled to anything you own. You should seek a lawyer for specific legal advice.
You're never legally divorced until you file. Meaning you can live seperately for years in different states with no contact. But until you file that paperwork that person is still your spouse.
NOPE! If you are legally divorced, regardless of where you live, you are legally divorced.
Not necessarily - if you decided you are separated and seeing other people then no. If you are just taking time to see where things are and are cheating during that time then really you have found your answer - you should not be married as really if you still want to be with that person separated or not and the possibility of getting back together you should not and would not cheat.
Not legally since you never actually divorced him
