As far asI know, if its a felony battery you can not expunge it or seal it. you have to get a pardon from the governor and then you can get it expunged. I have aggravated battery conviction so Ive been through the process. But ive applied for so many jobs and they all seem to run background checks of no more than 10 years. Unless its government, working with children or the elderly. but for basic jobs even if it doesn't classify a 10 year check or less and just asks if you've ever been convicted of a felony it usually is still just a 10 year check. otherwise they have to pay a lot more money to get ur full background check and too most companies it isn't worth it. They figure if you've been clean for atleast 10 years then your pretty much risk free. so good luck idk how many years you have had your conviction but either way look into getting it pardoned.

possibly. It all depends on the specifics of the crime and the willingness of the court to expunge or seal. Best to get with an attorney to do this.
