Some schools are closed and some aren't. It depends on the schedule worked out by your school system. Most aren't closed, more is the pity. It is not even a statuary holiday, but we can surely wear a poppy and honor all veterans; those that are deceased and all the ones who are alive and well.
do self employed workers get holiday pay if they have worked for the same employer for years
Holiday Pay- If you have worked over 1150 hours for 26 weeks with no break and work 24 hours preceding a holiday and 24 hours the week of the holiday- you get paid for the holiday. Vacation Pay- If you have worked for 2100 hours for 52 weeks, you get paid for a week- you can either take the time or just get an extra check.
There are no rights to pay for time not worked, regardless of hours worked.
I'm happy it worked for you Tom! Please be sure to click the Accept button so that the question can be closed out.
