Allegations of a "Tibet genocide" has never been proven, nor is it recognized by any country in the world.
Genocide is defined as the systematic destruction of a certain group of people. What happened in Tibet was a genocide. In order for it to be labled as a genocide it has to reach all eight stages of a genocide. Otherwise it can be labled as ethnic cleansing or a war crime. The eighth stage of a genocide is extermination, or killing.
Acc to UN, Basic world media, there is no established GENOCIDE in Tibet (at least with number of deaths). No comparison with Rwanda, Armenia, Bangladesh or even Darfur. Yes, displacement and forced migration is there, including Dalai Lama fled to India.
none, there is no prove of physical genocide in tibet. But there were some culture genocide during the culture revolution in the 60s and 70s, (culture genocide is the attempt to abolish old tibetan practices) however Tibetans are free to practice there religion after death of Mao and the end of culture revolution. However the culture revolution wasnt aimed at tibetan culture.
Tibet!
china and Tibet
It is widely acknowledged, even by China, that Tibetans possess a distinct cultural identity. To most of the people genocide in Tibet by China is disgusting. It is to me. Today there is still genocide going on in Tibet. Thousands of monks and other Tibetans are being held captive and tortured. Also millions of Chinese are moving into Tibet, making the Tibetans a minority in their own country. In 1950, one year after Mao Zedong took control of China, Chinese forces invaded Tibet. The Cultural Revolution in China started soon after millions across China and Tibet were killed. Mao Zedong like Hitler and Stalin was an extremist Darwinian and the Survival of the Fittest was incorporated in those atheist governments.
