I think it's more up to the individual rather than the system, rehabilitation can work and does work. I think as taxpayers we would rather spend our money on trying to rehabilitate and educate rather than spending money our hard earned money on them to allow them to just sit on there butt. I think if anything we should want to take the risk and try to rehabilitate in prison systems so that when they have the opportunity to leave the prison system they can now contribute to society in a better way. We can't just give up.
