Illegal. Music is copyrighted as intellectual property. You can be prosecuted.

Normally, the feds don't go after small time music pirates, but if you are stupid about it, you can get a HUGE fine. There was a case in California where a music pirate was busted with thousands of pirated songs, and he was basically charged the going rate for the cost of each of the CDs if he had purchased all the music.

Honestly, its not worth it. Go to YouTube. All the songs you want are on there, and there are usually official versions of the songs.
