To find information on how to look up class action lawsuits, you can start by visiting websites like ClassAction.org or the National Association of Attorneys General. These resources provide databases and information on ongoing class action lawsuits, as well as guidance on how to participate or file a claim. Additionally, you can contact your state's attorney general's office or consult legal professionals for further assistance.
In layman's terms it is a group of people that are suing a company or entity for wrongdoing. The first step is for someone to have been wronged in some way. This could come from any number of instances. Each class action must meet specific legal requirements in order to become "certified". Once certified, then the process begins and "members" can make their claims accordingly. You can find much more about class action lawsuits at http://www.sueeasy.com. They have a lot of basic class action information including terms and examples of class action notices.
Almost anyone. The key question is: did the defendants' conduct harm more than one person? If so, speak to a plaintiff class action lawyer. You should be able to find a lawyer who will talk to you at no cost. Good luck.

The best way is to become a member of the class action. If you want to find out about class actions, a good way to do that is through a database service that allows you to search through new, current and old class action lawsuits, as well as create a portfolio of the types of products and services you use. Once your profile is in place, you will be notified when and if a class action becomes active for those product/service providers. One such service I highly recommend is Class Action Watchdog. You can check it out further by visiting the Class Action Lawsuit News site (http://www.classactionlawsuitnews.com) and clicking on the Create a Case Portfolio to learn more. B. Baker
First find out which jurisdiction would be handling your case. There are stipulations on how many people must be from the same area in a class action lawsuit to be considered for that state. But you will need to find out through a lawyer which suits are already being considered/starting one on your own. Do research on your case as well.
Contact the attorney(s) that sent out the notice that there is a class action lawsuit.
