My college used to ban youtube but what the students and lecturers did was that they bring up some point that youtube can be used for educational means. The example you can use is the khanacademy channel. The college board then approved of this and my college have accessed to youtube eversince although i admit majority of them use youtube for entertainment purposes instead of educational purposes.as for getting youtube in the hacking sense... well, that is not my area of expertise and no point i dwaddle on it. hope this helps.
