If you want to impress ayou need to be friend to them. if you want to impress a guy talk about the things he likes and most of talk about the things you guys have in common.Don't jump rite into telling him that you like him, just hang out with him for a few months. It depends on how mature the girl is. Assuming that both the girl and boy act their age. I would say that you should try showing her you like her by doing nice little things such as, opening the door for her, giving her flowers, (even if their hand picked) giving her nice little post - it notes, etc. And then if she seems to like the attention, tell her you like her.
