Crime isn't really bad. It is due to the advancement of technology. The media's ability to report on events worldwide and send it out to the masses in a matter of seconds ensures that we hear about much more crime on a daily basis. Think back to the roman times. People dying everyday was sport. Even in the 30's and 40's before crime scene investigation become so advanced, you could basically get away with murder. Al Capone anyone?
