Its hard being a child who has parents who drink. Its up to them to stop the drinking you can't make them stop. They mean well when they tell you they are going to stop but this is a disease they are dealing with and they need to get help firstly buy going to AA meeting in your area. Support is always a phone call away for them if they feel they are going to pick up a drink again. AA puts a buddy with you that's been in the same situation and the person can call the buddy day or night for help and support. The addiction is so strong.
Have you tried talking to your parents and letting them know how it makes you feel when they drink? Can you do that without fear of any retalization from your parents. Now there are new medications a doctor can give you to help with the withdraws. Like I said this is a disease that they are dealing with,did one of your grandparents drink?
