if the cops are coming after you
how do i fimd out if I have a warrant in marion county Indiana??
Yes. Fi the Florida authorities have knowledge of a warrant for your arrest they can arrest your and hold you for Indiana to extradite you (if Indiana wishes to do so).
There is none. The warrant will not go away until it is served (person arrested).
well, i have an open warrant in CA, but i have registered my car, gotten driver's licenses, etc. in both Indiana and Ohio with no problem.
NO. Had a warrant for 5 years. Went to Indiana casinos too many times to count & they swiped my ID every time & never said anything about the warrant. But, if you win a jackpot you might be in a situation. So, always have someone else play the machines for you.
That all depends on the charge on the warrant. Most misdemeanors are extraditable from anywhere in the country, however the judge/prosecutors will decide at what lengths they are willing to invest the time and resources to transport the accused back to Indiana.
IF the warrant was entered into the interstate system (NCIC) and MI states they will extradie for the offense, the person that has the warrant against them would be extradited back to Michigan if they have been detained, due to that warrant, by any law enforcement agency.
You will be escorted back to Michigan.
The extradition process is conducted under what is termed a "Governor's Warrant."
Question isn't clear. An active (i.e.- unserved) warrant is not usually a "public' record. The fact that you may have been arrested on a warrant IS a public record. If that doesn't answer your question, reword and resubmit it.
All warrants can be searched for, you just need to defendant's name. Indiana would not: however, serve a warrant online. It does that in person.
If the warrant is for a moving violation or traffic offense, then the Maryland DMV will see it. If it is for some other type of offense, then no, they will not.
