Initially Rule admired Bundy, thinking him a nice, clean-cut young man on the rise. As his façade fell away she certainly amended her opinion of him. For a time she corresponded with him occasionally but much of their later contact came about when Rule wrote Stranger Beside Me, the bestseller based on the Bundy case and her friendship with the killer.

Did Ted Bundy make Ann Rule nervous when they worked alone?

By her own admission, Rule felt safer when she and Ted Bundy worked late nights at a Seattle crisis center. Rule was no 'slouch'. She was a former police officer and a true crime author, and was certainly no fool. But that is a testiment to how Jekyle/Hyde Bundy was. If he could fool the likes of Ann Rule what chance did his victims have of recognizing the Hyde the was the real Ted Bundy.

Could you have some examples of good books to read on Ted Bundy?

I can name my favorites, which are based on the accuracy and research on the part of the author. Anne Rule's The Stranger Beside Me, is in my opinion, the Bundy bible. Rule was a personal friend of Bundy's during his college years in Washington state. Ted Bundy: Conversations With A Killer written by Steven Michaud and Hugh Aynesworth gives the reader a glimpse into the Bundy after his crimes. They did a very competent job. And lastly, Rebecca Morris' Ted and Ann, explores the possibility that Bundy's first victim was Ann Marie Burr, abducted from her home and never found, when Bundy was the Burr's paperboy, at the time he was 14 years old.

Are there photos of Mark Harmon as Ted Bundy?

Yes. You are refering to the TV movie starring Mark Harmon called 'The Deliberate Stranger' from 1986. Google Mark Harmon as Ted Bundy and hit images and there you go. I thought Harmon did a fine job portraying Bundy and captured Bundy's creepyness without over-playing the part. Bundy was a complex creature and may never be fully understood. Sometimes Bundy was a mystery even to himself. References:The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule
