Don't obstruct.
My daughter is not answering the door for DCFS. It is under investigation with DCFS and I understand she can be charged with obstruction of justice. What is the punishment for obstruction of justice and or child endangerment?
A convicted felon with an obstruction of justice charge retains certain rights, but these can be limited due to their criminal status. They typically retain the right to legal representation and the right to appeal their conviction. However, their rights to vote, possess firearms, or hold public office may be restricted, depending on state laws and the specifics of their conviction. Additionally, the severity of the obstruction charge may influence the extent of these restrictions.
To my knowledge there is no such charge (as you have worded it) contained in law. You must be more specific about what the actual charge was, and what actions precipitated it.
It would not necessarily be an obstruction of justice charge but it most certainly would be a charge of aiding and abetting an escape from custody.
If the lie is enough to hinder an investigation they can charge you with obstruction of justice, and hindering an investigation. If you were under oath at the time they can also charge you with Purjury.
The teenager purposely tried to deceive her parents. Police can charge 'obstruction of justice' if you deceive them.
you cant...
You should not try and 'beat' a DUI charge. If you were drinking and driving then you deserve to be punished. If you were not then you would not have been charged. Take some responsibility for your actions.
It is called Airway obstruction / Tracheal obstruction
