A military recruiter can tell you if you qualify for training in a military police occupational specialty (each of the services has a different name for this). If you do qualify and decide to enlist, you'll find out about K9-related assignments at your specialty school. Getting one of those assignments is generally determined by individual performance and available assignments when you receive orders to your first duty post. You can't be guaranteed a K9 assignment when you enlist, but if you perform well and continue to make your preference for that assignment known, you'll probably get your opportunity eventually.

You are best advised to evaluate all the opportunities that come before you. Being a K9 handler can be a rewarding assignment, but it also comes with some duties and restrictions you may not like.
