I would say a well paying job is one which would pay enough to allow a family of four to live on that income, while providing shelter, food, transportation, health care, savings for retirement, and education for the kids. In my opinion, this would be an example of a well paying middle class job, which by definition, supports a middle class lifestyle. How much that is depends on the cost of living in your area, and how much it takes to satisfy you.
I would think that the best paying job for a 14 year old is as an actor. But the field of acting is very unpredictable; some people do very well, but most do not.
