Hi, That's a really good question. First of all, I just want to say that there is no need at all to rush into - losing your virginity. Your virginity is precious and you will have plenty of time to enjoy a sex life once you have found someone that cares for you and shows you respect. Oddly enough, one of the most powerfull ways to get closer to your boyfriend or girlfriend is to NOT have sex too soon! Trust me on this one! If you're a girl losing your virginity will be a different experience compared to what a guy will go through. As a woman, I can only let you know about the girls point of view. Okay, so you will be penetrated and a thin layer of skin called your hymen will be broken, for some girls it is painful and you could bleed BUT it's not the case for every female. I didn't bleed or feel any pain at all when I lost my virginity. It could be a great experience or it could be one that you regret for the rest of your life. Make sure that your partner is patient and gentle with you and if there is love, that makes it much much better! The most important thing that you need to know about beginning a sexual relationship is that -you have to be ready, YOU, not your bf or gf! Take your time, don't "do it" to please someone else, also: make sure that you've taken the time to get to know the person who you want to sleep with because your virginity is a special part of yourself and if you give it to the wrong person you may always wish that you hadn't- you can't ever get it back! PS: Use a condom and make sure that you read the instructions well. Condoms can break and people can get pregnant or get sexually transmitted diseases. Yes, you can get pregnant -the first time!
