There could be several reasons why a person has been singled out as a target of gang stalking or community stalking, cause stalking, as it is sometimes called. If used by large companies or corporations it can be used quite effectively to keep an employee in line. They may know something about the company that is illegal, ect. Then there are targets picked for revenge. As bizzare as it sounds, if you make somebody angry enough they can get your name put on a 'list'. Statistics show that revenge motivated gang stalking is usually initiated by a lower level aquaintence (someone known to the target only slightly). Researsh has shown that revenge gang stalkers, or the person that initiated the stalking, suffers from low self-esteme problems, difficulty dealing with authority, may have mental health issues, ect. The last group, the random victim, is exactly that. Sometimes people are just in the wrong place at the wrong moment. But usually the most targeted are minorities, handicapped, women alone. There are others but these are the most common after 'whistleblowers'.
