It depends, if its armed robbery(robbery with a weapon, even robbery with a knife ONLY is called armed robbery). you could be sentenced for three years IF there was no one injured, BUT if there was someone injuired or killed, you WILL be sentenced from 20 years to LIFE in prison. this does NOT apply for shoplifting as if the stoles goods are less than 500$, then its a misdeameaner. Armed robbery is considered VERY big in the USA and since its a violent crime, It will NEVER get removed from records and you WILL not find a job anywhere here.
