Normally it will take 90 days for the work permit to go through on a normal process. However i work for an agency that processes the same within a fortnight. with full and correct details even a week is sufficient. this is at a fee and considering the gruelling process of applying, vetting and finally the endorsement and stamping and time saved, clients will take this option without a fuss.

What can be done to reduce the number of children working?

well first why would u want to have your child stop working? isn't it a good thing to have them work there more independent and they start to learn the rules and consequences of working. if i think there should be an age limit yes. it should but 14 any child under 14 shouldn't be able to work. now if the child is working and that is affecting the child's education the yes i thing the child shouldn't be able to work because its getting in the way of school. now if that is your problem then u can take away the child's working permit and there for the child may not work any longer. if any problems with that go to there school and tell them you no longer want your child working and give them specific reasons why u feel this way
