The piece is probably in 3/4 if there are no other notes in the bar (3 crotchet beats in a bar).

Also, if the crotchet and the minim are different pitches and have a curved line joining them I think it's called slurred, whereas if they are the same pitch and have that line it's called tied. (Just for reference).

How many crotchet equal a semibreve tied to a dotted minim?

Semibreves cannot be tied to dotted minims. In any case, a semibreve is worth 4 crotchets and a minim is worth 2, but a dot adds half the value of the note to the note, so a dotted minim is worth 3. The answer to your question is 7 crotchets but it is not possible.

How many quavers in three crochets tied together?

Three crochets (or quarter notes) tied together equal a total duration of three beats. Since each crochet is equivalent to two quavers (or eighth notes), three crochets would be equal to six quavers. Therefore, there are six quavers in three crochets tied together.

How does a dot written after a note affect its length?

A dot after a note adds half of the given value/length so a crotchet (1 beat) with a dot after it is essentially a crotchet tied to a quaver (½ beat) or 1 and a ½ crotchets. A minim (2 beats) with a dot is 3 beats long.

What does a dotted crochet mean?

In music notation, a dotted crochet is a note value that is equivalent to a crochet (quarter note) tied to a half of its value. This means that a dotted crochet lasts for 1.5 beats in a 4/4 time signature. It is represented by a crochet with a small dot placed next to it, indicating that its duration is extended by half of its original value.

How many quavers equal a semibreve tied to a crotchet tied to a quaver?

A semibreve equals 4 beats, a crotchet equals 1 beat, and a quaver equals half a beat. When you tie a semibreve to a crotchet and then to a quaver, you combine their durations: 4 beats (semibreve) + 1 beat (crotchet) + 0.5 beat (quaver) equals 5.5 beats total. Since each quaver is half a beat, 5.5 beats equals 11 quavers.
