The population of eligible voters is often refered to as the electorate.
False An electorate is the people in an area or country who are entitled to vote in an election/referendum.
There's no exact opposite for electorate, but the electorate is a body politic of registered voters, so at a stretch you could use 'non-voters' as an antonym.
Electorate.
Non-voters
It is the electorate.
The state electorate are the registered voters of that state.
Yes- all registered voters in the US can vote for a congressman to represent his district in the House.
The two primary positions elected by voters in many democratic systems are the President (or equivalent head of state) and members of the legislature (such as senators or representatives). These officials are chosen through elections to represent the interests of the electorate and make decisions on governance and policy. Their roles vary by country, but they typically influence laws, budgets, and national priorities.
Electorate(suffrage)
Communal electrote in the simplest of the terms means voters divided on the basis of community. The communities can be different religions, different castes etc. The voters of each community say Mulsim voters are allowed to vote for Muslim representatives only. This means that Hindu voters will not be able to choose a representative among the Mulsim candidates. They can vote for candidates among Hindu candidates only. This kind of electorate ensures that all the communities find a suitable representation at the end.
It is usually called an electoral quotient.
